Warren is the Trumbull County seat, sitting on the Mahoning River roughly 14 miles northwest of Youngstown. It has a strong sense of history: the National Packard Museum, the W.D. Packard Music Hall, and a downtown National Register commercial core around Courthouse Square and the Riverwalk.
The downtown is in the middle of its biggest wave of investment in decades. The Peninsula project, a $150 million-plus mixed-use development with a hotel, more than 400 residences, and a food hall, is ramping up on the river, pedestrian bridges to Perkins Park are underway, and the former YMCA is being converted into 42 apartments.
For buyers, the headline is value. Recent trackers put the median sale price somewhere in the low six figures, with historic Foursquares and craftsman bungalows at accessible price points, and Mosquito Lake State Park about 15 minutes away.
